John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Jesus is that good shepherd who laid His life for us all, by dieing on the cross of calvary,
John 15:13, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
peeps, Jesus Christ didnt just lay His life, He was tortured, wounded, bruised, scorned, mocked, spat on, laughed at …….. for our sins, no one else could lay their lives for us, not your wives, not your husbands, not even your parents , Jesus was the only one who cud do it, and had done it, He was made the sacrifice for our sin, He who knew no sin, just so that life eternal can be guaranteed you and that we might be saved from the wrought to come.
For the bible says in Hebrew 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Peeps do you know this same Jesus who laid down His life for you, do you genuinely know Him? do you have a personal relationship with Him?
Isaiah 53:3 says But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
